The English Premier League's bottom club Portsmouth can't buy a trick at the moment - dead last and now not allowed to bring any new players in until further notice.
The Premier League's placed a transfer embargo on the south coast club, apparently because of issues regarding outstanding payments to other clubs over transfers.
The ban was announced just a day after Portsmouth won against top-flight opposition at Fratton Park for the first time this season, beating Stoke City 4-0 to reach the quarter-finals of the English League Cup.
Portsmouth have been best by off-field problems all season to set alongside their poor form - chief executive Peter Storrie's set to be prosecuted over tax evasion charges and the club's had two owners in a matter of months, with problems paying the wages of club staff.
