Man pleads guilty to mosque shooting livestream charges

A Christchurch man charged with sending and re-posting the livestream of the mosque shootings has pleaded guilty.

Philip Arps faced two charges of posting objectionable material online relating to the posting of the live streaming of the mosque massacre. The 44-year-old runs Beneficial Insulation, whose vans feature neo-Nazi imagery.

Among details of the charges heard in the Christchurch District Court today, was that he sent one copy of the footage to about 30 people, though not by social media.

Arps, who appeared in court via video link, was remanded in custody for sentencing on 14 June.
