The former Rugby World Cup boss Martin Snedden has taken over as group chief executive of New Zealand event development and promotion company Duco Events.
A lawyer by profession, Snedden was previously director of the International Cricket Council and New Zealand Cricket CEO.
Snedden says his appointment is the culmination of 15 months of discussion with directors David Higgins and Dean Lonergan, who say the former Black Cap's skills help elevate Duco to greater heights on both domestic and international stages.
Snedden will now relinquish his directorship at the ICC, but the 55 year old will remain on the board of both New Zealand Cricket and the 2017 World Master Games in Auckland.
His most recent Chief Executive role has been with the Tourism Industry Association, and he'll take up his new role in early November.
