Six lawmakers from Japan have visited the Northern Marianas to discuss the possible relocation of US troops from Okinawa.

The groups met the governors of both the CNMI and Guam over the proposals to move 4,000 American troops from the U.S. Marine Corps Air Station at Futenma.

The group say they want to arrange a meeting between the Japanese Prime Minister and the two Governors.
