A 31-year-old man has appeared in Manukau District Court in relation to an assault on a jogger last month at Ōtara Creek Reserve.
Last week, police released images of a man caught on CCTV video around the time of the assault, which occurred in the early hours of 18 January.
Counties Manukau East Detective Sergeant James Mapp said a 31-year-old man had since been located by police.
He was arrested and appeared in the Manukau District Court over the weekend, charged with robbery and indecent assault.
The man is expected to reappear in court on Tuesday.
Mapp said he wanted to acknowledge the help of public in the case, and police were not seeking anyone else in connection with the investigation.
