A pedestrian has died after being struck by a train south of Hamilton this evening.
Police said the person was hit when the train was passing through the Te Kuiti railway station about 6pm.
Police are investigating and the railway line will be closed until further notice.
The Fire Service and ambulance were also at the scene.
