Climate vulnerable Pacific countries are renewing calls this week for all nations to match their efforts to combat global temperature rise.
The Marshall Islands is chairing the Climate Vulnerable Forum's 'Virtual Climate Summit' this Thursday.
The Forum comprises the 48 countries most threatened by climate change.
Leaders from France, Canada, New Zealand and the Pacific are participating, and significant climate announcements are expected.
The talanoa will feed into the next UN climate round in Katowice, Poland in December.
The environmental group Greenpeace is staging a flotilla in Majuro this week to draw attention to the Forum summit.

Greenpeace's Kelvin Anthony said polluting nations need to match Pacific efforts and make drastic cuts to their emissions.
"The Australian government continues to subsidise the fossil fuel industry and the prime minister Morrison himself took a lump of coal to parliament when he should be embracing the transition to renewable energy.
"So more action and less talk from Australia."
