Goodman Fielder is in negotiations with potential new owners of its commercial edible fats and oils business.
The Australasian food group believes the business, which supplies food manufacturers and wholesalers in New Zealand and Australia, does not now fit with its major strategic focus.
It says it has received a number of offers for the business and will make a statement on the future of the business before its annual meeting in November.
