The Australian bushfires didn't hamper NIWA's annual glacier survey as initially thought. Fifty glaciers are surveyed from the air using advanced photography technology to assess how much of last winter's show remains. Dr Drew Lorrey is NIWA's climate scientist and he explains to Jesse what the annual survey tells them and why the ash and dust wasn't as much as a problem as they thought it would be.
