Taranaki police have confirmed they have found the body of a man last seen in mid-April.

The body of Steven Walton was found at a Midhirst property last week, police confirmed in a statement this afternoon.
Walton, 53, was reported missing from his home in Frankleigh Park, New Plymouth on Wednesday 13 April.
He was last seen at 2pm the next day at the bus pick up point at Taranaki Base Hospital, before being dropped off at Midhirst.
