Renee Duckmanton, 22, was last seen in the Manchester, Peterborough Street area in Christchurch on Saturday 14 May.

Her body was found by a member of the public on Main Rakaia Road the following night.

Police believe her job in the sex-industry could be linked with her death, and are treating her death as a homicide.

Detective Inspector Darryl Sweeney said the last known image of Ms Duckmanton taken from CCTV footage shows her walking on Petersborough Street shortly after 9pm on the Saturday night.

"This area is frequented by many people on Saturday nights and is not far from Margaret Mahy Park.

"Police are continuing to ask for any sightings of Renee in and around this area on the Saturday night," Mr Sweeney said.

Police believe Ms Duckmanton arrived in the area, where sex workers operate, just after 8.30pm.

Around 9pm she walked across Manchester Street and into Peterborough Street.

"Even if you only saw her for a second any little bit of information helps," Mr Sweeney told media last week.

"The information we've received from the public has continued to be a significant help."
