A person has died following a single-vehicle crash in Wairoa.
Police said the crash happened at the intersection of State Highway 2 and Te Pairu Road, Whakaki, Wairoa.
The Serious Crash Unit is examining the scene.
Motorists are asked to remain patient as police control the traffic.
