The company that owns the Rena will next appear in court in October on the anniversary of the container ship running aground.
The Greece-based Daina Shipping Company is charged under the Resource Management Act with discharging a harmful substance from a ship into the coastal environment, after the vessel grounded on Astrolabe Reef, off Tauranga, on 5 October last year.
The company was to appear in the Tauranga District Court on Thursday, but the case was adjourned until 5 October.
