Notorious Australian gangland killer Carl Williams has been buried in a gold casket at a cemetery in Melbourne.
After a brief ceremony at the graveside, the casket was lowered into the ground as family and friends farewelled the slain killer, who was bashed to death in prison 11 days ago.
Earlier, more than 100 mourners attended his funeral at St Therese's Church, in Essendon.
His former wife, the couple's nine-year-old daughter and his father arrived at the funeral in a black stretch Hummer limousine.
Williams was serving a life sentence for four murders and was also found guilty of conspiracy to murder.
A 36-year-old man has been charged with his murder.
