Bay of Plenty police have arrested three people following ongoing gang conflict in the region.
Acting Area Commander Senior Sergeant Tristan Murray said police conducted six traffic stops and searched a property on Saturday.
Charges are being considered against one person who was arrested in Whakatāne after being seen with a firearm.
Police also found offensive weapons in a vehicle.
Meanwhile, a 40-year-old Auckland gang member was arrested in Ōpōtiki.
He is due to appear in court next month on charges of possessing an offensive weapon and drug utensils.
A young person arrested for supplying cannabis is being referred to Youth Services.
