Fiji opens embassy in South Korea

13:31 pm on 20 July 2012

Fiji has opened an embassy in Seoul in South Korea.

The interim government says the opening is symbolic of the Frank Bainimarama Government's commitment to vigorously engage with the international community.

It says Fiji's joining of the Non-Aligned Movement and its 'Look North Policy' form part of this strategy.

Commodore Bainimarama, who opened the embassy, says last year trade with South Korea increased by 32 percent.
