Police in Wellington say the death of a woman whose body was found in the city's harbour is not being treated as suspicious.
The body was spotted by a passer-by near the East by West ferry terminal about 8pm on Saturday.
Police believe the woman was in her mid-30s but it is not known if they have identified her.
Acting Detective Sergeant Caroline Martin said police had been seeking sightings of a Pakeha woman wearing a dark-coloured sweatshirt and black leggings near the harbour over the past week.
The death has been referred to the coroner.
