Police have named the man who died in a single-vehicle crash in Mid Canterbury last night.
He was 36-year-old James McLellan, also known as Joe.
The police say two children, aged six and seven, who were in the vehicle have been discharged from hospital and were recovering at home.
The utility Mr McLellan was driving rolled several times on a bend on the Ashburton Gorge Road, near Mt Somers.
He died at the scene.
