A 10 try bonanza has given the Hurricanes their biggest win of the 2020 Super Rugby season, a 62-15 victory over the Sunwolves.
It was the visitors who scored first at McLean Park in Napier, through lock Michael Stolberg in the fourth minute.
However, it was all one way traffic after that, as the Sunwolves struggled to match the Hurricanes' physicality up front, and flair out back.
Hurricanes wing Kobus van Wyk scored three tries in the match, while fullback Chase Tiatia scored a double.
Midfielders Ngani Laumape and Vince Aso scored one each, as did captain TJ Perenara and hometown local Gareth Evans.
Leading 28-10 at halftime, the Hurricanes came out firing in the second half, scoring a try in the first minute through Ben Lam, before adding two more in just five minutes.
Sunwolves outside back Siosaia Fifita scored a consolation try for his side in the 66th minute, by the then the match was well beyond doubt.
The win lifts the Hurricanes to second on the New Zealand conference ladder on points differential, while the Sunwolves remain last in the Australian conference.
