Harmony brand beef and caramelised onion sausages have been recalled due to contamination.
The Neat Meat company has recalled the product because of the possible presence of blue plastics.
New Zealand Food Safety deputy director Vincent Arbuckle said consumers are warned not to eat the sausages with a best-before date of 20 January.
Anyone who bought the product can contact the Neat Meat company for a refund.
The recalled products were available from New World, Pak'nSave and Four Square stores.
