US soldiers return to Palau

15:58 pm on 9 April 2019

About 200 US soldiers are heading to Palau next week as part of United States military exercises.

It's the first time since 1982 the Army has sent personnel to the Micronesian nation.

The Palau exercise is part of the US Army's Pacific Pathways where soldiers are deployed in the Pacific for a series of back-to-back exercises.

Army medics will also be providing humanitarian help.
