Three people have died after a truck and car collided in the Waimakariri District in Canterbury.

The crash happened at 6.35pm yesterday at the intersection of South Eyre Road and Burnt Hill Road.
Another person was seriously injured.
Police provided an update on the deaths this morning.
Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
