The police in Fiji have confirmed they have re-arrested two men, this time in relation to claims of a plot to burn down the city of Suva.

New Zealander Jagath Karunaratne and local man Mosese Bulitavu have been re-arrested not long after they were released on bail along with three co-accused.

The five men were charged with writing seditious comments in public places earlier this year.

Fiji's Assistant Commissioner of Police, Henry Brown, says they are also trying to locate others in relation to charges of conspiracy to create instability in Fiji including reports of an attempt to burn down the capital.
