House fire in Invercargill

One person has been treated for smoke inhalation after a house fire in Invercargill on Saturday.

A Fire Service spokesman says they received a call about 6.15pm about a building fire in Lithgow Place in Glengarry.

When firefighters arrived the home, believed to be in a block of flats, was well-ablaze.

One person was treated for smoke inhalation.

The fire is now under control.
