Akira Ioane will start at blindside flanker, while Asafo Aumua, Cullen Grace and Will Jordan were all on the bench for the final match of four consecutive games against Australia.

Cane expected the typical energy and excitement that came with being a debutant from all four.

But he said it wasn't just that which gave him faith in the newbies.

"They are probably some of the guys who have been training the best against us the last few weeks and helping us prepare for the last few two matches.

"In terms of timing, it's great for them because they've worked out what the All Blacks are about and how we train and what's required of them and now they can just go out there and be themselves and play."

One added thing the debutants and the rest of the All Blacks camp will have to deal with, though, was the unique travel arrangements for the test.

Covid-19 protocols for the revamped Rugby Championship meant both teams would fly out of Sydney on Saturday morning and return straight after the match.

Cane said while it wasn't typical, he was confident it wouldn't be a big factor for the New Zealand side.

"I've chatted to a few of the Hurricanes boys, who flew to Dunedin the day of the last round-robin game [in Super Rugby Aotearoa], and they said it was a wee bit different.

"But we've all got to the stage now where the guys aren't as rigid in their routines. We're flexible enough to know a lot of preparation is done during the week, and that's what sets you up to play well.

"We'll just have to be fluid. Things won't be how they normally are. We know that and we'll adapt and adjust to it."

While the Wallabies would also be dealing with the fly-in, fly-out situation, they were optimistic the venue for the test would help them reverse their recent fortunes.

After earning a surprise draw in the first test, Australia have been comfortably beaten in the next two as New Zealand yet again wrapped up the Bledisloe Cup.

However, the All Blacks have just one win from their last four matches in Brisbane, and Wallabies skipper Michael Hooper said they did enjoy playing at Suncorp Stadium.

"I love playing there. It's just a feeling you had get about playing in some places, and Suncorp certainly has that for us as a Wallaby outfit.

"I've been a part of some really good games up there, watched a lot of really good games up there, so there's a lot of confidence around this team and going up there to get the job done."

And they were likely to need all the confidence they could muster, after needing a while to get over last weekend's thumping loss.

The All Blacks wrapped up the Bledisloe Cup for an 18th straight year with a dominant 43-5 in Sydney.

After putting so much into finally trying to get the prized trophy back, Hooper said it had taken some time before they were able to fully focus the fourth and final test.

"It was pretty dark and still is a bit dark around letting that opportunity slip and particularly the performance that we put out there.

"How do we prepare [for Brisbane]? Well there's rectifying some of that stuff from last week and improving.

"We're into a new beginning here, a new journey with this team and wanting to improve and become the team that we think we can become and know we can become."
