New Zealand's Rescue Coordination Centre says no more active searching is planned for the missing schooner Nina.
Six Americans and a British man are on board the 21-metre wooden vessel, which set sail from Opua in the Bay of Islands on 29 May bound for Newcastle in Australia and has not been heard from since 4 June.
The centre said on Friday it has coordinated extensive searches over the past 11 days, with an Air Force Orion covering an area more than eight times the size of New Zealand of about 737,000 square nautical miles.
Operations manager John Seward said a formal suspension of all active searching is being considered.
