Jewellery was stolen from an Invercargill store during a morning ram raid in the southern city.
Invercargill police are investigating after a store in Windsor Street was broken into this morning.
The burglary was reported to police about 5.30am, but it was unclear when the raid occurred.
In a statement, police said they understood the person or people involved used a vehicle to gain entry to the store.
"Police have now spoken to one witness who observed broken glass at the store just before 5am, however the exact time it happened is yet to be established.
"Police would like to hear from anyone in the area around this time that saw anything suspicious or can assist police in identifying those involved."
