A gas leak in Levin this afternoon that sparked evacuations has been fixed and businesses evacuated are being allowed to return.

The Horowhenua District Councils says contractors working on a roundabout upgrade damaged a gas pipe.
The line has been repaired and the area is open to traffic and the public.
The fire service says evacuated business can now go back to their premises.
