Indonesia has a new ambassador in neighbouring Papua New Guinea.
Andriana Sutandy was welcomed this week by PNG's Prime Minister Peter O'Neill.
Mr O'Neill said he was confident that Ambassador Sutandy would strengthen and enhance the bilateral relationship.
According to him, bilateral cooperation has been increasing, along with new business activities, and people to people engagement.
"Sharing a land border with Indonesia gives substantial potential for trade as well as co-operation in working together on international issues that are of mutual interest," Mr O'Neill enthused.
