The first sitting of Fiji's newly elected parliament will be on Monday next week.

FBC news reported the speaker of parliament Jiko Luveni confirmed this today during an induction workshop for members of parliament.
Frank Bainimarama's FijiFirst party has 27 seats giving it a three seat majority in the 51 seat parliament.
The SODELPA party led by Sitiveni Rabuka has 21 seats after winning just under 40 percent of the vote.
And the National Federation Party has retained its three seats in parliament.
The speaker said MPs who were not sworn in yesterday will be sworn in on Monday.
It is understood the official leader of the parliamentary opposition will also be decided during the first sitting.
