A 24-year-old Aucklander hooked on Pokemon Go has quit his job and booked 20 buses up and down the country to try to catch 'em all.
The mobile game debuted at the top of app download charts in the US, Australia and New Zealand last week, and has been downloaded by millions of users globally.
It sends players walking around the world catching virtual creatures, fighting other players and visiting landmarks using their phone's GPS and camera.
Checkpoint with John Campbell spoke to Tom Currie, who is currently in Christchurch.
He said he was on a trip around the country, visiting friends and catching Pokemon.
