Police have taken a person into custody after the Armed Offenders Squad was sent to a sports stadium in Napier.

Police said cordons were set up and the Armed Offenders Squad was sent to Park Island in Napier today after reports of a person behaving threateningly.
Shortly before 8pm they said one person was in custody and the cordons were being taken down.
