Footage of the arrest shows plain-clothes officers with side-carry handguns walking the man to a patrol car in handcuffs.

A police spokesperson says officers executed a search warrant at an address on Number 2 Road this morning.

During the operation, a 39-year-old man refused to leave the premises and was arrested.

He is due to appear in the Tauranga District court on 4 April.

He has been charged with obstructing police, but police say other charges are under consideration.
