New Auckland measles case confirmed

Auckland health authorities are warning of a new case of measles in someone returning from an overseas trip.

It asked people to watch for symptoms if they have been where the infected person had been between 7 May and 12 May.

They include Westfield Mall Albany, Hobsonville Countdown, the ferry between Auckland City and Hobsonville Point and Auckland Airport domestic terminal.

Auckland Regional Public Health Service said people who may have been exposed should call their doctors if they were unsure if they are immune.

Anyone who is infected may have symptoms from 17 May to 26 May.
