Australian squash champ claims another title

Australia's David Palmer has claimed the 25th title of his career by beating reigning champion James Willstrop in the final of the Canary Wharf Squash Classic in London.

The former world champion withstood a fierce fightback from Willstrop to win 3-1.

The Englishman, who is due to have an operation next week to remove a bone spur in his ankle, says Palmer won the match by playing excellent squash in a very sporting manner.

The 32 year old Palmer is nearing the end of his career, but says he is enjoying the game as much as ever and will continue to play as long as he can.

Willstrop says the quality of the match lends weight to Squash's bid for a place at the Olympic Games.
