The final votes in the Kiribati national elections begin this morning as round two polling begins.
Twenty-three of the available 44 seats were won outright last week, with 16 returning members of parliament and seven new members confirmed.
Intensive radio campaigns for the round two votes wound down yesterday evening as the official 2020 elections messages close off.
A strong voter turnout is expected despite some restrictions on public movement through measures in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
