Taliban militants have carried out a major attack in southern Afghanistan using suicide bombs, rocket-propelled grenades and machine-guns.
At least 22 people have been killed in the attack in Tarin Kowt, the capital of Uruzgan province.
The attacks come only a day after a suicide bomber killed the mayor of Kandahar city, the latest in a string of assassinations of high-profile government figures and allies of the Afghan President, Hamid Karzai.
Those killed in the most recent attack include a local BBC reporter.
The Taliban says it carried out the attack.
NATO says it is providing air support to Afghan forces in Tarin Kowt.
