New Zealand's Lydia Ko has missed the cut by two shots in a disappointing return from the first women's golf major of the year.

Ko carded a four-over 76 in her second round at the Chevron Championship in Texas on Saturday to finish three over the card.

She had no involvement in the third round as Americans Allisen Corpuz and Angel Yin climbed to the top of the leaderboard.

Both carded five-under 67 on Sunday to be 10-under, one stroke clear of South Korean Amy Yang, who shot the round of the day with a near-flawless seven-under-par 65.
