One lane of a main road leading into the Coromandel Peninsula is now open again following a truck crash.
Emergency services were called to State Highway 25 south of Whangamatā when a truck collided with a power pole shortly after 11 o'clock.
Police said live power lines were brought down.
The diver was safely removed from the truck but had moderate injuries.
The road was earlier closed in both directions.
The truck has since been removed, but motorists can still expect continued delays and should take alternative routes where possible.
