A police officer in the CNMI will be spending seven days in jail after he admitted stealing candies and a drink from a store.
Twenty-eight-year-old Koji Taisacan pleaded guilty earlier this week and was originally sentenced to 358 days in prison, which was reduced to seven days with conditions.
He will serve the suspended portion of the sentence if he breaks any other laws.
Taisacan also has to pay $US625 in fines and court costs, and $US2.45 for the Starbucks drink he stole.
