Fire investigators are examining the scene of fire in a commercial premises in central Palmerston North.
Fire crews arrived just before 1am and said the fire escalated quickly.
Crews from Palmerston North, Milson and Bunnythorpe brought the fire under control by 4am.
There were no reports of injuries.
