A snorkeller missing off the coast of Kaikōura has been found deceased.
Police were notified just before 5pm on Saturday evening, when the man was half an hour overdue.
His body was located in the water an hour later.
Police said they were providing support to the man's family, and his death had been referred to the coroner.
