WorkSafe has confirmed a person died at a meat rendering facility near the Rangitikei town of Marton a week ago.

The agency says it is investigating a fatal incident, at Kakariki Proteins, on 2 April.
No other details were available, and Kakariki Proteins did not respond to calls.
