Another 114 Wellington bus trips will be temporarily suspended from Sunday due to the driver shortage.
This follows 67 trips paused in October, intended to reduce frequency but improve certainty for commuters.
Metlink said 80 trips were being removed from Wellington city, and 34 from Porirua.
They comprised 60 weekday and 54 weekend trips, Metlink said.
To compensate for the lesser frequency, Metlink said it was working with its operators to try and deploy larger buses on to those routes which had been affected.
They should be reinstated as soon as operators have the necessary drivers.
Some may restart in the summer season when school bus drivers could be redeployed, Metlink said.
Metlink said it was still short of 120 drivers to fully operate the bus timetable and ad hoc cancellations would still happen across the network.
Passengers were encouraged to check their journey by website or app ahead of departing to check for suspensions and cancellations.
Auckland Transport last month announced it would remove more than 800 bus trips from its daily timetable across the region in response to the ongoing driver shortage.
