Six on trial for drug supply and sale

Four men and two women arrested during methamphetamine sting Operation Nebraska have gone on trial at the High Court in Wellington.

The six face more than 120 charges between them, including possession of methamphetamine for supply and selling the drug.

Operation Nebraska was carried out in October 2013, targeting people in several parts of the country, including Wellington, Canterbury and the Bay of Plenty.

Those on trial are Clint Helmbright, Lewis Padden, Nicholas van der Wiel, Clarke Persico, Elizabeth Morrison and another woman whose name is suppressed.

The case is expected to take between six and 10 weeks.
