Waitomo glowworm business urging Kiwis to visit

A Waitomo Cave operator say they've lost 95 per cent of their visitors because of border closures, but have had no government support beyond the wage subsidy. It's as the Government begins dishing out a 400 million dollar pot to the tourism industry to help recover after covid - with cave tourism company Discover Waitomo given 4 million dollars. Underneath the Boddie family's Waitomo farm lies their very own cave, which they share with the public through their business Glowing Adventures. And with only a handful of tours visiting since we moved to level two nearly a month ago, owner Michelle Boddie told First Up's Louise Ternouth, she's urging Kiwis to visit them.
