The police in Whanganui are still urgently seeking a man they believe was involved in a firearm incident in the suburb of Aramoho on Thursday.

A shotgun was discharged several times during a dispute.

The wanted man, Dolphy Tetawhero Kohu, 20, is described as being 185 centimetres tall with dark, shoulder-length dreadlocks; he may be wearing rugby league shorts.

The police say he is armed and potentially dangerous.

He could be in the Whanganui or Ruapehu area and could be driving a silver Mitsubishi Galant.
