A towering cake vying to be the world's biggest, lasted one day outdoors in Paris, before it wilted in a sweltering heatwave.
The cake, nearly eight metres tall, had to be taken down because it was starting to look more like the leaning Tower of Pisa.
Fortunately, a representative from the Guinness Book of Records was there to assess the short-lived creation.
It took 628kg of flour, 508kg of sugar, 350 eggs and 18kg of butter to make.
