Police are investigating a spate of mail thefts from post boxes across Waikato.
Police said that two mail boxes were initially targeted in Paeroa on William Street between 27 and 30 December, 2019 and between 3 and 6 January, 2020.
They said mail from seven other boxes in the region were stolen from as well, including in Hamilton, Cambridge, Tamahere, Morrinsville, Te Aroha and Waihi.
A significant amount of mail taken in Paeroa has been recovered, and will be returned, police said.
Police are also asking anyone who posted mail over the holiday period in Paeroa to get in touch.
Inquiries into the mail thefts are ongoing.
