A teenage girl was critically injured in a hit-and-run in Hamilton last night.

Police said she was hit by a silver-coloured vehicle in Boundary Road, in the suburb of Claudelands, at around 2am.
The car did not stop and was last seen turning left into Heaphy Terrace, heading north.
Police are appealing for any information to help identify and locate both the vehicle and its driver.
